Registration coming Soon

Start/End: Sept 2025 // June 2026 × 31 Sessions

Location: Spider Lake Road

Join us for an authentic, hands-on experience that nurtures both resilient ecosystems and resilient hearts.Designed to cultivate emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and a deep connection to the Earth, this program invites children to discover their unique gifts and grow into their potential.

Together, we’ll explore the wonders of nature while developing important life skills, fostering a sense of purpose, and embracing the magic of learning through experience. Activities include planting and harvesting, seed-to-table cooking, crafting herbal medicine, and Earthworks, all while building a strong connection to the natural world.

Children will also set up their own produce stand, honing entrepreneurial skills, problem-solving, and teamwork. These moments of collaboration and creativity offer a space where each child’s voice and contributions are celebrated, fostering confidence and belonging.

As a Homeschool Enrichment program, our approach blends hands-on activities with reflective written work, encouraging self-discovery and meaningful growth. Around the fire, we’ll share stories and songs, creating a sense of community and shared experience that mirrors the support middle schoolers often seek during times of change.

The highlight of the day is coming together to enjoy meals we’ve prepared as a group, harvesting gratitude alongside our food. These moments deepen connections to both the Earth and one another, helping children recognize the value of shared effort and their place in the greater whole.

This program offers a safe, joyful environment to explore nature, build life skills, and uncover the magic of discovering who you are—together.

We’ll explore a range of hands-on skills, including:

  • Gardening and Agriculture: Cultivate polycultures of vegetables, fruits, and herbs while mastering seed-saving techniques to preserve biodiversity.

  • Sustainable Living Practices: Discover renewable energy solutions, effective water management, and composting to reduce waste.

  • Food Preservation and Cooking: Try your hand at canning, fermenting, dehydrating, and baking from scratch to savor the rewards of homegrown food.

  • Natural Building and Construction: Experiment with techniques like cob and straw bale construction to create sustainable structures.

  • Wildcrafting: Learn traditional crafts such as basket weaving, soap making, and spinning and weaving textiles.

  • Mindfulness and Nature Connection: Practice mindfulness exercises that deepen your connection to the rhythms of nature.

  • Social Justice and Community Design: Explore fair trade principles, equity, and inclusion to build compassionate, sustainable communities.

  • Herbal Medicine: Create herbal remedies while uncovering the healing properties of plants.

  • Market Gardening and Entrepreneurship: Gain skills in small-scale farming and learn how to sell produce at a market.

  • Seed-to-Table Cooking: Experience the joy of growing, harvesting, and preparing your own food from seed to plate.

““If you’re looking for a once-a-week outdoor adventure, Genevieve is an absolutely incredible spirit with such a depth of knowledge and passion for outdoor learning, and empathy for the little beings in her care. The explorations they do together go so far beyond “nature class”, and include emotional self-awareness, social justice, empathy, compassion, and teamwork. I can’t gush enough about this program Little Knapsack Club “”
— Natalie DeGoey
“I sent both of my daughters to a similar program offered by Genevieve. This program was so special to our family and my girls. Genevieve is an amazing mentor/teacher. She has a wonderful ease with her students and her knowledge and understanding of nature, community and patience with her students is majestic. We adore Genevieve and I wished that we lived closer so that we could benefit from her programs. This one is truly special and if you have a daughter who is wanting to get closer to nature and to learn about sisterhood in a very supportive and inclusive, fun environment with an amazing mentor, then I highly recommend this program with Genevieve ❤️”
— Laura Lunds
