Monthly Moon Circle is a Nature Immersion Program for Girls—a space to gather in sisterhood, connect with the land, and move in rhythm with the Moon.

Each gathering is guided by the current Moon phase and what’s happening on the land around us—whether it’s the first buds in spring, the winter moon guiding spawning salmon, or the return of the herring. We slow down, notice these seasonal shifts, and deepen our sense of place through storytelling, and creating nature-based crafts that reflect what we’re noticing and learning each month.

We come to this circle with humility, to learn how the Moon has been honored across cultures and generations. We listen for the teachings of the Moon, carried by many peoples, lands, and lineages. This wisdom lives in stories, songs, and practices rooted in deep relationship with Earth and sky.

Guided by seasoned instructor Genevieve Dupont, who completed the Journey Of Young Women Mentor Training Program under the mentorship of Katharine KruegeI.

Each Month, We Gather To:

  • Pause and attune to the season, the Moon, and what is shifting in our local ecosystem

  • Create with natural materials in response to what we’re noticing and learning each moon cycle

  • Listen to the teachings of this moon shared by diverse ancestral and cultural lineages

  • Share stories, insights, and observations from our own bodies and experiences

  • Engage in practices like  nature journaling, sit spot, storytelling, and wandering

  • Build community through empathy, play, compassionate Listening, and co-regulation

Core Routines: Sharing Circles, Sit Spot, Wandering , Compassionate Listening, Nature Journal

Guiding Principle: We approach all cultural and ancestral teachings with humility and respect—honoring their deep wisdom and recognizing the sovereignty and rights of the communities from which they arise.

We model non-linear, cyclical learning—rooted in observation, presence, and reflection. This way of learning invites girls to grow with confidence, curiosity, and care for themselves, each other, and the living world.

Why It Matters:

  • Supports self-trust, resilience, and a grounded sense of identity

  • Encourages emergent learning, creativity, and collaborative care

  • Builds a lifelong relationship with nature, self, and community
